Island Pacific Oxnard's Grand Opening Weekend Celebration:

 
Celebrating its 10th Store and 1st in Ventura County

Island Pacific Oxnard held its grand opening weekend celebration last April 20, 2012 with a store blessing and food sampling from its partner vendors and suppliers. 

Close to 500 people attended the store blessing that includes notable people and city officials from the City of Oxnard, Filipino Community Leaders, vendors, suppliers and customers. 

Among those who attended the store blessing include Deputy Consul General Daniel Espiritu from the Philippine Consulate in Los Angeles, Annie Cuevas-Lim of the Department of Tourism, Archimedes Gomez, Trade Representative, Oxnard Chief of Police Ms. Jerri Williams (first female city police chief of Oxnard who heads a group of 250 peace officers and 150 civilians for a population of 250,000). Other officials who were in attendance include John C. Zaragoza, County Board of Supervisors, Retired Chief Sheriff Deputy Dante Honorico, City Councilman Bryan MacDonald, Tony Grey Executive Director of the Fil-Am Council, Michael Lhuillier and Loren Escano of M Lhuillier Financial Services Inc, Julius and Bennie Espina of Bennie Bebe Ready to wear. 

Father Fidel and Father Michael, both from Mary Star of the Sea Church, just 2 miles away from the store, officiated the store blessings.

Special gift baskets generously donated by Goldilocks through Ms. Marisse Abelgas and Elena Lapid of Lapids Chicharon were given away to the guests. 

The customers were treated to a weekend of food sampling from our partner vendors and suppliers: UFC Spaghetti from Nutri Asia ; Caldereta Mix and Oyster Sauce from Mama Sita; AVE Alkaline bottled water, assorted flavors of Indomie Fried Noodles and Soup Noodles from Empire International; Tropics brand of Sweet/Hot Pork Longanisa, Chicken Longanisa, Pork/Chicken Tocino, Beef/Chicken/Pork Lumpiang Shanghai distributed by Philippine FoodTrade; Orientex Lumpia Eggroll, Magnolia Pork Tocino, Magnolia Sweet Pork Longanisa distributed by Ramar Foods; Orient Gourmet Ready To Eat BBQ in pork /chicken from AI Foods; Jalapeño & cheese Bitesize Hotdog , Red Bite size hotdog, Pork Tocino Loaf, Chicken Tocino Loaf from Martin Purefoods; Lucban Longanisa, Chicken Hamonado with No Msg Pork /Chicken BBQ from Pampanga Foods ; Kikkoman Oyster Sauce (Red/Green), Ajinomoto Gyoza assorted flavors, Sun Tropics Pure Coconut Juice from JFC International; Manila Ihawan's Hot Pork and Sweet Pork Longanisa, Pork Adobo Longanisa, Beef Tapa, Sir Norman Baker Home made Uraro, Tita KC's Creation Pacencia biscuits distributed by Asian Commodities;and Cassava cake, purple yam , Leche Flan from Breads and Sweets.  M Lhuillier through its partner remittance giant, Moneygram gave away Moneygram pens, beach balls, coin purse and bags to the delight of the customers.
